who we are
Aurora NK is an international, nonprofit organization that empowers diasporic North Korean communities with an emphasis on education. We believe an education based approach opens up limitless possibilities for some of even our most disadvantaged communities. Our work centers around building confidence around navigating life in the United States.
what we do

Education
The Aurora NK Tutoring Program connects English-speaking college students to people with North Korean backgrounds for 1:1 online tutoring sessions.

Legal Resources
Our team is partnering with legal experts both in South Korea and the United States to provide 1:1 individualized consulting for refugees who are interested in achieving legal status in the US.

Healthcare
The Aurora healthcare team is partnering with health professionals and organizations to provide free clinics, free to low-cost counseling sessions, and educational sessions for refugees.
